Troopers responded to a fatal pedestrian crash in Clifton Park on Wednesday. Also, a Troy man is accused of raping a minor and threatening the victim with a metal bar. 1. Pedestrian struck and killed in Clifton Park crash

One person was struck and killed in the area of State Route 146 near the intersection of State Route 9 in Clifton Park Wednesday night. State troopers have not revealed the identity of the victim at this time.

2. Troy man accused of raping a minor in Albany

A Troy resident is accused of raping a minor. Court documents say Sakir Akkan threatened the 15-year-old girl with a metal bar while she was inside his car.

3. UAlbany student hit by illegal dirt bike heading home

The University at Albany student who was hit by a speeding, illegal dirt bike in April in Albany is heading home. Alexa Kropf‘s family said she has been in a rehabilitation facility for about a month.

4. Bethlehem man rescued after porch collapses on him

Sean Battle, 40, of Delmar, was hospitalized after his front porch collapsed underneath him in Bethlehem. Several crews responded to Roweland Avenue near Delaware Avenue on Tuesday to rescue Battle.

5. 220-pound fish caught in Hudson River

Talk about the catch of the day. According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), members of the Hudson River Estuary Program fisheries staff caught a 220-pound fish that was over six feet long.
