One beauty fan revealed the hack she swears by to give her eyes a polished look.
Commenting on a Reddit post, user Echoabyss explained her go-to makeup technique.
She explained that she switches up her eyeliner placement to give the illusion of more volume in her lashes.
“Tightlining! Aka using a waterproof pencil liner to line the upper lashline,” the poster said.
“Subtle, but a huge difference in making my lashes look thicker and my overall eye look more polished and natural.”
Maybelline referred to tightlining as the “slim, cool line of color drawn right on the inner waterline of eyes.”
The Redditor explained that the method doesn’t “noticeably feel weird.
However, she pointed out that tightlining may not be suitable for everyone.
“If you wear contacts you might get some irritation if it rubs off onto them,” she warned.
“I don’t have sensitive eyes at all from wearing eye makeup for 20 years, so it feels like nothing to me.
“I have friends whose eyes water if I hold up an eyeliner pencil in their direction.”
The poster revealed the product can be easily removed with micellar water.
She recommended using a cotton swab to reach the corners of your eyes.
She shared her top recommendations for eyeliners.
“If you want to give it a go, Urban Decay’s pencil eyeliner is great, as well as KVD’s pencil liner,” she said.
For an even more voluminous effect, she recommended a budget-friendly buy.
