Dakota Johnson Just Made an Ultra-Rare Appearance for Chris Martin Amid Breakup Rumors
Throughout 2024, we’ve heard some pretty wild things about Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin’s private relationship. We’ve heard that they had broken up, that their engagement was on the rocks due to exes, and more. When Johnson didn’t go to Moses’ graduation, many were concerned that the rumors were true. But nope, the pair just shot down all of those rumors with a subtle appearance.
On June 29, during Coldplay’s headlining set at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K., many eagle-eyed fans noticed a familiar face in the crowd.
In photos obtained by People, many saw that during a live stream for the event, Johnson was watching Martin from the stands!
Now, this actually isn’t the first time they’ve used this method to squash breakup rumors. Back in June 2023, while Coldplay was performing in Naples, Italy, Martin came around to say “hi” to Johnson in the VIP box, to which she adorably waved back, reminding everyone they’re oh-so in love.
Johnson frequently goes to Martin’s shows, and this subtle one is the perfect reminder that their relationship is stronger than ever.
For those who don’t know, the lovebirds started dating in 2017 after being set up by mutual friends. They didn’t confirm their relationship until a year later, and they moved in together in 2021. Earlier in 2024, it was rumored they were engaged, and while neither have publicly commented on it, many insiders claim that to be the case.
In a previous interview with Bustle, she gave rare details about their romance, talking about how much she adores seeing him perform. “I love watching him. I could watch him every day. I don’t know how to explain it. I feel like, I don’t know… I’m watching my most favorite being do his most favorite thing. When people are really good at things, it is [sexy.]”
Now, will we ever hear intimate details about their romance from Johnson? Probably not.
In a recent interview with SheKnows for her new movie Daddio, Johnson talked about how she’s a “vault,” and that’s just with her co-star Sean Penn!
“I learned so much and I’ll never say,” she said about Penn. “I know things that the Internet would love to know. I’m a vault.”
