At least the wind was SW this morning. It was pushing along at 9-14 kts while out at sea the swell was 2.3 metres at 11 seconds from the SSE. Conditions continue to be scrappy and lumpy although set wave faces at Dee Why looked to be around the head high mark. It’s not very appetizing though. Lots of sectioning, chundery stuff with only the rare makeable section. Tide was high at 0600 and will bottom out at 0.6 metres as of 1135. Weather call is for the showery stuff to continue into next week. We should see a high of 17 today with possible rainfall in the 4-15mm range. Beachwatch tells us the water at Dee Why should be ok and 18 C.
Outlook is for the swell intensity to very gradually decrease toward the 1.5 metre range while it also gets more SE as we head into the weekend.
