Report: Tottenham transfer could be completed in the next three or four days
According to Gianluca di Marzio, the negotiations between Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan over Emerson Royal are now heating up, with the deal expected to be concluded in a matter of days.
AC Milan want to sign Emerson Royal
On Tuesday, Fabrizio Romano took to social media to reveal that Milan had begun fresh contacts with Spurs with a deal for Emerson.
The journalist explained that the right-back had already given the green light to the transfer but there was still a small gap in the valuation of the two sides, with Tottenham wanting around €25m for the player.
Di Marzio has now said that signing a right-back is the number one priority for Milan, with Emerson being identified as their top target.
Talks heat up between Spurs and AC Milan
He claimed that contact between Spurs and the Rossoneri has now intensified, with the Serie A side trying to get ‘as close as possible’ to Tottenham’s demands for the defender.
The journalist says that Milan are now ‘insistent’ on the signing and that the negotiations are now heating up as the two clubs try to hammer out an agreement.
Di Marzio adds that Paulo Foncesca’s men view Emerson as the ‘ideal profile’ for them and they are now hopeful that a deal can be concluded in the next three or four days.

It is perhaps not a coincidence that the negotiations over Emerson’s sale are heating up after Tottenham’s successful capture of Archie Gray.
Spurs will want to swiftly move on the right-back as well as the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Djed Spence, in order to free up more space in the wage bill for new arrivals.
