Sarah Jessica Parker Dons Updated White Maison Margiela Mary Janes On the Set Of ‘And Just Like That’
Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted filming “And Just Like That” on July 2 in New York. Accompanied by co-star Cynthia Nixon, Parker made multiple outfit changes while on set, styled in a variety of funky shoe silhouettes.
The “Hocus Pocus” actress opted for a pair of Mary Jane-inspired heels in white hailing from Maison Margiela. Retailing for $890, the glossy patent leather pair featured 4-inch heels, almond-shaped toes, breezy cut-outs, thin straps and adjustable silver buckle closures fastened to the side, keeping the style in place. The silhouette is deconstructed, offering a new take on the otherwise classic silhouette with the addition of unique touches true to Maison Margiela’s brand identity.
While the style is enjoying a renaissance of sorts at the moment, Mary Jane silhouettes have been popular since 1904. The style is classic, remixed by a multitude of brands including Miu Miu, Dr. Martens and Steve Madden, among others.
Accompanying her designer footwear, Parker was styled in a tan form-fitted structural long-sleeve top tucked into a high-waisted denim midi skirt. The skirt was pleated and featured a distressed hemline, offering the silhouette dimension. Rounding out her look, the footwear designer wore gold earrings. The look was simple and sophisticated, mirroring Parker and her character Carrie Bradshaw’s style perfectly.
“And Just Like That” is a spin-off of Max’s hit franchise “Sex and the City.” Released in 2021, “And Just Like That” features a nearly identical cast to the show’s original main players including Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays the ever-fashionable Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon, who depicts Miranda Hobbes and Kristin Davis, who depicts Charlotte York.
New additions to the show include Sara Ramirez’s polarizing portrayal of Che Diaz and Nicole Ari Parker’s Lisa Todd Wexley. Both the original and rebooted series are hallowed for their witty banter and epic on-screen fashion moments.
