Home Bargains shoppers are clearing the shelves of bathroom essential scanning for just 89p – cheaper than Poundland
SHOPPERS in need of toothpaste top-ups are rushing to get their hands on an 89p Home Bargains buy.
Tubes have been spotted at one store for 89p a pop in a win for customers keen to keep their pearly whites pristine at low prices.
A savvy shopper posted the deal for Colgate tubes to Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group after finding it at Home Bargains.
She wrote: “Great prices at Home Bargains for toothpaste.”
Deals posted include Colgate‘s anti-cavity 75ml and white teeth 75ml for 89p and 99p.
In response, a social media user pointed out that they could come in handy for family summer hols.
She wrote: “They are small tubes which are great for holidays.”
Another shopper commenting suggested she simply get dentist samples, but she indicated 75ml was the perfect size on a trip.
She said: “I have quite a few samples from the dentist but larger tubes are better for families.”
They are on sale as part of Home Bargains’ “star buys”.
Home Bargains isn’t the only store selling those varieties cheap.
Tesco also lists the 75ml Colgate white teeth for 99p in what is an Aldi price match.
However the Home Bargains price – 89p for the 75ml tube of anti-cavity – is marginally cheaper than Poundland, where it is selling for £1.
It’s £1.45 on other sites including TJ Beauty Products and shavers.co.uk.
Superdrug sells a triple-action tube for 99p.
It comes after shoppers were outraged over Colgate’s max white ultra freshness tube spotted for dear £10 at Tesco.
Writing on the social media platform, they bemoaned: “A tenner for toothpaste.”
