St. Peter's using new robotic surgery system
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- St. Peter's Hospital has become the first hospital in the region to receive a "groundbreaking" surgical system. The da Vinci 5® robotic surgical system has been in operation for three weeks, and the hospital said they've performed 30 procedures.
The new system is helping the hospital to perform complex procedures with greater accuracy, reduced blood loss, shortened recovery times, and improved outcomes for patients.
St. Peter's said they've performed over 22,000 robotic surgeries, and this new tool will be a great help for them and their patients.
