It has been another warm and beautiful day with some scattered clouds and temps about 10 degrees above normal. Tonight, we will see skies starting to clear. With winds relaxing, and dewpoints climbing through the day today, it is possible that we see some shallow fog in spots overnight tonight with lows dropping to the middle to lower 60s.

Thursday will see mostly sunny skies, and another very warm day with highs back into the upper 80s. We will stay mainly sunny and quite warm on Friday with highs in the upper 80s to near 90. We should be able to push to around 90 on Saturday with mostly sunny skies again. A warm front will lift north on Sunday late allow for some clouds to return with highs near 90. That front will slowly lift through the state into Monday, with clouds and humidity increasing ahead of a stronger cold front.

By this time of the year, highs should only be in the middle 70s, and we will still be a good 10 degrees above normal with showers and a few storms possible by Monday night. It does appear our dry streak will end on Tuesday after 17 days, tied for our longest streak of the year. The cold front will lumber through with scattered showers and storms around Tuesday and at least into the first part of the day on Wednesday. This should get temps close to falling back into the 70s.

After that, we will have to keep our eyes on the tropics in the Gulf, as a few models are picking up on a low forming this weekend, that could potentially gain strength into a hurricane next week, and then head up the eastern half of the country. The low hasn't even formed yet, and the model spread for late next week is quite large, but it is something to watch for the last few days of September.
