A MARRIED At First Sight groom will cruelly slam his bride as ‘not his type’ just seconds after meeting her at the altar.

Adam Aveling, 33, complains that Polly Sellman, 28, isn’t been what he’d been “expecting” after they come face-to-face during tonight’s episode of the E4 show.

While the careers advisor compliments him on his teeth and aftershave, barber Adam fails to return the gesture – which prompts one of her relatives to brand him “awkward”.

In a clip shared exclusively with The Sun, they say: “I am a little bit disappointed that he hasn’t complimented her. Just awkwardness and silence.”

In a piece-to-camera, Polly raves about her husband-to-be being “very attractive” with a “beefy” physique and “nice haircut”.

She gushes: “I do fancy him,” but Adam’s thoughts couldn’t be more different.

He admits: “The initial attraction’s not 100% there. She’s not my usual type. 10 out of 10 for me would be petite, brunette, dark features, tan. She’s not what I expected.”

Attendees are seen gasping and exchanging shocked glances as the scene is captured by camera crews.

But he’s not the only groom to have served their bride with a brutal insult this week.

Last night, viewers watched in horror as Caspar Todd, 34, told Emma Barnes, 31, he didn’t find her “curves” attractive.

The newlyweds sat down for a chat following a full 24 hours of being married.

Emma told him that she’d had a “fabulous” first day and then asked how he was feeling.

But a despondent Caspar told her: “I’ve been struggling, I don’t know if you’ve felt it. But I haven’t felt that spark I was hoping to feel.”

Trying to gain some clarity, Emma asked: “What started off those feelings?”

Caspar admitted that some of the things Emma did on their wedding day reminded him of his sister.

A confused Emma said: “What did I do?”

He explained: “Watching you and her laugh together, there’s an element and sort of mannerisms – I’m equating one with the other and it’s not good.”

Keen to get to know Caspar better, Emma then asked what his “usual type” was.

He then brutally put her down by saying: “I’ve rarely gone for the curvier person,” leaving his bride gobsmacked.

She replied: “Do you think I look sexy tonight?”

A panicked Caspar was left breathing heavily as Emma asked: “But you don’t think I’m sexy?”

Caspar bluntly replied: “No.”

Emma went on: “So you didn’t fancy me and you don’t fancy me, right?”

“Not currently, no, let’s be honest,” Caspar admitted.
