How long will Britain’s ‘mini-heatwave’ last? Forecast revealed
UK weather has made a U-turn back to summer with a mini-heatwave after temperatures plummeted suddenly last week.
Most of us are not ready to bid farewell to the summer – and many were left reaching for their jumpers when the sudden cold snap hit last week.
But now you can put away the pumpkin spiced latte and extra layers for a little while longer as the Met Office predicts a spell of warm weather.
Temperatures are set to climb above 20°C in large parts of the country, making it warmer than Barcelona.
London weather is looking promising today as Met Office forecasts up to 25°C, with warm weather continuing over the weekend.

The Met Office forecast shows mellow weather for across the UK today and over the next couple of days.
Temperatures could reach 20°C in large parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales today, with blue skies across the UK.
In the Scottish Highlands, temperatures are set to climb up to high teens and even 20°C – just days after some of the country’s highest peaks welcomed first snow.
Londoners can enjoy temperatures of up to 25°C along with a northeasterly wind and blue skies.
This September mini-heatwave is not expected to bring tropical nights as temperatures drop to mid-teens at night – good news for those who woke up bleary eyed during the peak summer heatwaves.
An early temperature forecast for tomorrow shows a slight drop in temperature, but many areas in the south of England, Midlands, North West and Scotland could see temperatures hovering near 20°C.
However, some rain is possible in the south west of England and Midlands, while the coastal areas in the North East will be cloudy.
But as often is the case with weather, all good things come to an end.
The Met Office weather forecast shows a significant drop in temperature by Tuesday.
