China imprisons human rights lawyer couple for trying to meet EU officials
Beijing [China], October 30 (ANI): Chinese authorities on Tuesday sentenced human rights lawyer Yu Wensheng to three years in prison, while his wife, Xu Yan, received a one-year and nine-month sentence. The couple was detained while attempting to meet with European Union officials in Beijing.
