Firefighters battle commercial fire in NE Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma City fire crews responded to a commercial fire Wednesday morning.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, firefighters responded to a rehab facility near NE 16th St. and Lottie Ave. around 1:45 a.m.
Officials say the fire began in the kitchen and spread to the dining area. Crews were able to get the fire under control and knock the flames down quickly.
A neighbor nearby noticed the flames and jumped in to help residents out of the building. She knocked on the facility's door until someone answered and told them the building was on fire.
"When he buzzed me in, then I just told him like 'Hey, can I please help you, like, get all these people out the building'." said Breana Coleman. "We all walked out together".
No one was hurt in the fire and all of the residents were able to safely reenter the facility.
