Grammys Moving to Different Network For First Time In Decades, Will Leave CBS in 2027
The Grammys are making a big change starting in 2027!
The annual music awards show has been airing on CBS for over 50 years, since the network first bought the rights to air the ceremony in 1973.
On Wednesday (October 30), it was announced by the Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr and Disney Entertertainment Chairman Dana Walden that the Grammys will be moving to Disney in a 10-year deal!

Starting in 2027, the Grammys will be simulcast across ABC, Hulu and Disney+.
“As The Walt Disney Company combines forces with The Recording Academy to open this exciting new chapter in the history of ‘The GRAMMYS,’ we do so with pride and gratitude,” Dana Walden shared in a statement. “Live events have never been more important to our culture and industry, and we just acquired one of the crown jewels, adding to our portfolio of world-class programming across all genres.”

In addition to the Grammys ceremony, “the Recording Academy will also produce multiple Grammy-branded music specials and additional new programming for audiences around the world across Disney’s platforms.”
In 2027, the first year of the new agreement, ABC will be airing the Grammys, the Oscars and Super Bowl LXI!
The upcoming 2025 Grammys, which will air on CBS, are set to take place on February 2, 2025 at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles. Find out some of the expected nominations, which will be officially announced in January!
