UPS hiring is thousands of seasonal workers for the holidays
NEW YORK (PIX11) – Looking for some extra cash this holiday season?
UPS will hire over 10,000 seasonal workers in the greater New York City area for the holiday season. The hiring spree will kick off this weekend with a handful of virtual information sessions.
For Long Island applicants, virtual hiring sessions will start at 10 a.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Positions in New York City – including Yonkers, Yorktown Heights, Long Island City and the Bronx – will be available at a virtual session starting at 10 a.m. Friday. Pay for seasonal positions will range from $21 to $23 per hour for positions including delivery drivers, package handlers and delivery helpers. Some of the positions will be full-time and others part-time.
Most of the positions don’t require an interview, and applications can be filled out online.
Other companies, like Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, are also hiring in New York for the holiday season. Pay for holiday positions at the department stores ranges from $16 to $28.88 per hour in New York City, and start at $15.13 per hour in New Jersey.
Bath & Body Works will also hire seasonal positions for the holidays in the city, offering discounts as a perk of employment.
