I’m afraid to have sex with my boyfriend because of my noisy bed

DEAR DEIDRE: MY noisy bed is responsible for my frustrating sex life. 

I’ve recently started dating a guy who is so gorgeous. He’s 24, got a body to die for and the sex is great up to a point but I can’t fully let myself go because I’m scared my housemates will hear.

I’m a 21-year-old woman and I’m a student. We met in a bar where he works.

Even though he was serving me, he bought my drink. I asked him how I could repay him and he said, “Stay here and talk to me”.

The rest is history. We’ve been dating now for three months and the first time he stayed over, as soon as we started getting down to it, the bed was making a dreadful racket so we had to stop.

I’m desperate to have an orgasm but my boyfriend still lives with his parents and there’s always one of my house-mates around who is bound to know we are having sex.

If you have a squeaky bed, put the mattress on the floor — or why not try something a bit

more adventurous? Sex in your bed might be convenient, but getting intimate somewhere different can be more exciting. 

Try the shower, the sofa or somewhere outdoors yet private.

Alternatively, grab any time you can when you know your housemates aren’t around – Friday or Saturday nights perhaps? Make your excuses and settle in for a night of passion. Good luck.
