- There was some chatter around the internet yesterday that the Mariners, White Sox, and Cubs were involved in negotiations for a three-team trade, though it’s unclear at this point if the talks are ongoing or if they’ve cooled off.
- The 2025 MLB Draft Competitive Balance selections were drawn yesterday, with the Mariners nabbing the third pick in the Round A portion of the draft — which takes place between the first and second rounds. Of note, this is one of the rare types of draft picks that can be traded.
