'So rich and yet so weak': Vitriol unleashed as Mark Zuckerberg lauds Trump to Joe Rogan

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Friday appeared on Joe Rogan's show to lob bitter complaints at President Joe Biden's outgoing administration, as well as to heap praise on the incoming Trump administration.

During his appearance, Zuckerberg said that Biden's team would "scream" at him for not doing enough to crack down on viral misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines.

At the same time, he said of President-elect Donald Trump that, "I think he just wants America to win" — despite the fact that Trump last year had threatened to put him in jail for life.

Many political observers on BlueSky were quick to dump scorn on the social media titan not only for sucking up to Trump but for seeming so bitter at the world despite having limitless sums of money.

"Every single one of these guys is an incel loser who thought that being rich would make them popular and well-liked and when it didn't happen they lost their minds even further," wrote New York Times columnist Jamelle Bouie.

Economist Patrick Chovanec marveled at the way Zuckerberg, despite being rich beyond imagination, craves the approval of authoritarian rulers.

"This is the same Zuck who fawned over Xi Jinping’s book and asked him to name their first child," he observed. "How can one be so rich and yet so weak?"

Progressive commentator Will Stancil made a similar observation.

"Someone like Zuckerberg is untouchable for life; they're men whose only material consideration is their legacy of moral leadership," he wrote. "And yet they only seem to care about earning backslaps from their friends, like 14-year old boys."

Entertainment journalist Charlie Ashby didn't offer a deep insight into Zuckerberg's character and made the following recommendation: "I say we bully him harder."

I say we bully him harder.
