COLUMBUS — Attorneys on Friday tried to use a former FirstEnergy Corp. lobbyist to explore contributions from the utility in support of the campaign of then gubernatorial candidate Mike DeWine and running mate Jon Husted as the utility sought a consumer-financed bailout of two nuclear power plants.
