Summer rains remain Saturday, heat on the way for the Pacific Northwest
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Summer rains continue to take aim at western Oregon and southwest Washington Saturday as temperatures remain spring-like.
Afternoon highs will struggle to warm into the low 60s as upper 50s are likely along the Willamette Valley. Rain showers will continue to increase and become more widespread through western Oregon and southwest Washington Saturday. Thunderstorms are not expected with this latest round of wet weather.
Rain accumulation is expected to near a half inch through the weekend along the Willamette Valley. Rain accumulation could near almost an inch for some coastal communities.
Snow levels are expected to slowly move closer to 7,000' through the weekend as temperatures rebound into the 70s in Portland Sunday.
Summer heat and sunshine will return to the Portland area by the start of next week.
Some temperatures across western Oregon and southwest Washington could climb into the mid to upper 80s by the middle of next week.
