Production of Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson 'Brothers' Series Put on Pause
Well-known Hollywood friends Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have been filming a series for AppleTV+ entitled Brothers, a show that was originally announced in 2023 and was inspired by the duo's friendship.
Since Harrelson once insinuated that the two might actually be brothers on Kelly Ripa's Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, the name and premise of the comedy series could not be more fitting.
"Matthew and Woody's friendship is tested when their combined families attempt to live together on Matthew's ranch in Texas," the official synopsis read.
In all honesty, that single sentence alone is probably more than enough for fans of the magnetic acting duo to go ahead and quickly add to their list of upcoming television shows to stream.
However, the only problem is, production of the show reportedly came to a screeching halt late last week due to that all-too-familiar, unfortunate term of "creative differences," with the cast being sent home.

The good news is, this has precisely nothing to do with any type of heat between McConaughey and Harrelson.
Perhaps the even better news is that eight of the 10 episodes slated for Brothers have already been filmed.
But, nonetheless, the impact behind production of the show coming to an abrupt stoppage still looms pretty large.
David West Read, who served as writer, show-runner, and executive producer of the series, has made the decision to leave the show over the aforementioned creative differences, reportedly stemming from "differing views over how to end the season."
In an exclusive report from Deadline, Lee Eisenberg, whose most recent work came as writer, creator, and executive producer of Apple TV+'s Lessons In Chemistry starring Brie Larson, is "in negotiations to come on board as show-runner for the last two episodes and likely reshoots."
While Apple had never announced an official release date for the show, whatever Read, along with McConaughey and Harrelson also serving as executive producers, had originally projected in their collective timeline will most assuredly see a prolonged delay.
The cast of Brothers also includes Holland Taylor (The Morning Show), Natalie Martinez (Bad Monkey), and Highdee Kuan (The Brothers Sun), among others.
