Coal India Limited experienced a decrease in coal production. Output fell by 8.5 percent in June. The first three months of the fiscal year also saw a dip. Coal offtake also declined during this period. The government aims to boost production to cut imports. Despite the drop, the Coal Ministry assures no coal shortage during the monsoon.
