Tommy Lee Gets Support from Ex-Wife Heather Locklear as He Clears Up Marriage Rumors
Tommy Lee set the record straight on the status of his marriage to Brittany Furlan. The legendary Motley Crüe drummer posted to Instagram to confirm that all is good months after his wife was involved in a catfishing scandal during a rough patch in their relationship.
“Hey fake news we’re not separated or divorced!! Get your s--t together!! ????,” Lee, 62, captioned a selfie of him and Furlan on July 20.
The rocker received support from fans and friends—including his ex-wife, Heather Locklear.
“Thank you to the most wonderful couple. You rock????????,” Locklear wrote in the comment section.
Lee was married to Locklear from 1986 to 1993 and has remained on good terms with her. Furlan has even said that the “Melrose Place” alum was “the one that got away” for Lee, who later had a high-profile marriage to Pamela Anderson.
“Everyone glorifies his relationship with Pam, but he was married to Heather for [nearly] eight years!" Furlan, 38, told People magazine in 2023. "She was the love of his life. I see it. ...She's just a fun, sweet, caring, awesome person. Tommy even says he messed up in that relationship. He cheated on her.”
“To this day, that’s why they’re still really good friends,” she added of the former couple. “I yell at my husband, I’m like, ‘I can’t believe you cheated on her. She’s so cool.’”
Lee married Furlan in 2019. But in May 2025, a source told TMZ that the couple had separated. Lee’s alleged drinking was cited as a reason for the reported separation, but soon after, Furlan revealed she had been living in a hotel after telling her husband she had been “talking” to someone online pretending to be Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke. She later found out she had been “catfished.”
"I’ve been going through a lot in my marriage, “ Furlan explained in a now-deleted TikTok post, per E! News. "Basically, I told my husband everything. I said, you know, ‘I’ve been talking to whoever I thought this was on Snapchat—he says it’s not him, cool, whatever'—because I’m a good person."
" I mean, I’m not a good person for talking to someone while married," the former Vine star added. "I’ve been going through a lot in my marriage. No excuse, whatever."
