7/21/2025: Beautiful start to the work week
The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:
In the wake of yesterday afternoon's storms, shifting winds have brought in some incredibly comfortable weather for the start of the work week.
Expect mostly sunny skies from start to finish with highs in the 70's for most. Some in the Adirondacks and Catskills may struggle to warm past the 60's! Lower humidity, too, so an overall refreshing feel to the day.
Tonight actually looks a bit chilly! By the standards of July, at least. Lows around 50 in Albany will be much closer to the record (47 degrees in 1970) than average (63 degrees).
More sunshine tomorrow, so temperatures recover quickly after the cool start. Expect highs in the 70's across the board. It's another great feeling day with low humidity.
Warmer, but not humid for Wednesday with a high of 85. Much less comfortable for Thursday, with highs in the 90's and more noticeable mugginess.
High humidity and more warmth will promote scattered thunderstorms on Friday and into the following weekend. No one day looks like a washout, but it won't be a bad idea to have the umbrella on hand for when storms do pop up!
