Boy, 16, among 13 people arrested at Long Island fight club: SCPD
SHIRLEY, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 16-year-old boy was among 13 people arrested at an allegedly unauthorized fight club on Long Island Sunday, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Police officers responded to a home on Frances Landau Place in Shirley around 6 p.m. for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, a scuffle broke out between people attending the alleged fight club event, according to authorities.
Police said one of the attendees pulled out a blank firing gun, shooting a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old. The victims were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
Police said 25-year-old Devine Brown was charged with assault, menacing, prohibited use of a weapon and unlawful assembly. In addition, 12 others were given appearance tickets:

- Jehsiah Williams, 23, of Mastic
- Honest Thompson, 19, of Middle Island
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
In June, two 19-year-olds were arrested at a fight club event in Melville. Police said over 70 people showed up to the event, advertised on social media, at Walt Whitman Park.
