Elon Musk Sets Lofty Goal For New Tesla Venture Opening July 21
Elon Musk's Tesla is set to enter into a new market: dining.
According to tech reporter Sawyer Merritt, the Tesla Hollywood Diner is slated to open on Monday. The restaurant is at 7001 West Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles.
But eating won't be the only thing you can do at the diner. The location also includes 80 V4 Superchargers, a drive-in movie theater with two 45-foot LED screens, the audio of which can be synced inside your Tesla vehicle, and Tesla owners can order food from their cars.
If all goes well with the first location, Musk hopes to open more diners in major cities across the globe.
"If our retro-futuristic diner turns out well, which I think it will, Tesla will establish these in major cities around the world, as well as at Supercharger sites on long distance routes," Musk wrote. "An island of good food, good vibes and entertainment, all while Supercharging!"

The menu at Tesla's new diner, which combines an old-school feel with a more futuristic one, will include burgers, fries, chicken wings, hot dogs, milkshakes, sandwiches and more.
Tesla branching out into the restaurant business comes amid industry struggles in recent years, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (h/t Restroworks), as of 2025 around 17 percent of restaurants fail in the first year and anywhere from 50 percent to 80 percent of restaurants fail within five years.
