A local court convicted Abhay Kumar Srivastava, former CMD of NALCO, in a money laundering case investigated by the Enforcement Directorate. Srivastava and co-accused were found guilty of accepting illegal gratification through intermediaries. The ED successfully established the layering and concealment of proceeds of crime, leading to the conviction under the PMLA.
