Paramount Sued by Former Employees Over Alleged Assault and Harassment by Ex-Executive
Two former employees have sued Paramount Pictures for allegedly ignoring sexual harassment and assault by their supervisor, per reports.
The studio is being accused of fostering a code of silence by enabling sexual misconduct from former SVP Patrick Smith. One of the plaintiffs who has listed themselves as “Jane Doe” in the suit, both of which were filed in July of this year in California’s state court, states she was sexually assaulted several times between 2016 and 2018. The second former staffer said she experienced a hostile work environment in which she claims her supervisor acted out sexual advances toward her.
