Guinness Announces Major Collaboration With Popular Ice Cream Brand
Starting today, Guinness lovers are getting a new way to enjoy the flavor of the popular Irish stout.
On Monday, Guinness and Van Leeuwen ice cream announced a new collaboration: "Lovely Day for a Guinness" ice cream, which features Guinness-flavored ice cream packed with chunks of chocolate.
"We're always looking for ways to bring the bold flavor of Guinness to life in new formats, offering a modern twist to a timeless classic," said Guinness Director Karissa Downer in a press release. "This collaboration with Van Leeuwen captures the simple summer joys that sit at the heart of our "A Lovely Day" campaign – like sharing a scoop of ice cream, a pint of Guinness, and time with the people who make those moments matter. It's one more way to come together over a Guinness and enjoy your lovely days this summer."
The two brands also unveiled their partnership with a team Instagram post featuring a photo of the "Lovely Day for a Guinness" pints, which are black with a tan lid as a nod to the presentation of the iconic beer.
"Lovely Day for a Guinness blends Van Leeuwen’s creamy ice cream with the bold flavors of Guinness and rich chocolate chunks," the IG post caption reads. "Whether you sip or scoop your Guinness, lovely days are ahead this summer!"
