Cowboys nightclub bids farewell with "The Last Ride"
SCOTT, La. (KLFY) - It's the end of an era as the owner of Cowboys Nightclub has announced they are closing their doors after this weekend.
In a post on their Facebook page, they announced that after 45 years of live music, they are closing their doors. Saturday night will be the last public show with Dustin Sonnier and The Wanted. The club is calling the night, "The Last Ride". On Sunday, the club will be hosting a benefit, but after that it will go dark. The benefit will be for Marcelite "Marci" Olivier Rayon from 10am to 7pm.
In the post, they paid tribute to Cowboys owner, Larry Bacque, saying he had an unique way of making people feel at home when they would come to the club. They added that the reasons for closing will be addressed in a couple of days.
Cowboys Nightclub is the only business closing. The Western Store and The Saloon are not closing their doors.
