Malcolm-Jamal Warner Reunited With ‘Cosby Show’ Sister 1 Month Before His Death
Malcolm-Jamal Warner reunited with one of his sisters from The Cosby Show one month before his sudden death. In June, the actor met up with Keshia Knight Pulliam for an episode of his Not All Hood podcast, which he first launched in 2024.
In a post shared to Instagram on June 19, Warner, 54, and Pulliam, 46, were tagged in a video that teased, “Season 2 of Not All Hood kicks off with a powerful reunion. Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Candace Kelley & Keshia Knight Pulliam sit down for a soul-stirring conversation about legacy, conscious living & manifesting the life you seek.”
Warner also posted about the reunion with his TV sister, writing, “This Week on Not All Hood we’re talking about the art of letting go & the hidden power of staying in the passenger seat with Keshia Knight Pulliam. She unpacks the tension between hustle, surrender & how forcing the outcome kills the magic.”
Pulliam commented, “It was such a pleasure to sit down with you guys!! Thank you for the invite @malcolmjamalwar … #Family #Forever.”
Warner and Pulliam played siblings Theo and Rudy Huxtable for eight seasons on The Cosby Show, from 1984 to 1992. The other Huxtable siblings were played by Sabrina Le Beauf, Lisa Bonet, and Tempestt Bledsoe.
Warner and Pulliam remained close over the years, with Pulliam calling Warner "family" and like an "uncle" to her kids.
In 2020, Warner posted to Instagram after meeting up with Pulliam in Atlanta. “Landed in Atlanta at 5:35 am,” he captioned a selfie with his longtime co-star. “Back on a plane by 9pm. My two highlights: having lunch with this one and her beautiful two-month-old, Ella Grace, and upon receiving a #Legendaryaward, sharing with the audience how much I love this woman and how proud of her I am.”
Pulliam also posted to Instagram after the meetup and wrote, “So happy to see @malcolmjamalwar ... even if it was only for a moment!! #Family #UncleMalcolm ????????????."
Warner died from an accidental drowning during a family vacation to Costa Rica, People magazine reported on July 21. Pulliam has not yet publicly responded to the tragedy.
