David Beckham Gave His Kids Plenty To Laugh at When He Tried To Recreate One of His Most Iconic Hair Looks
David Beckham is taking everyone back to the pandemic era of haircuts, only his mishap happened in 2025.
The retired 51-year-old soccer star shared an Instagram video on July 19 that revealed just what went wrong with his home haircut — oops! With wife Victoria Beckham filming, the shirtless athlete looked a little embarrassed by the lopsided results.
Off-camera, Victoria is heard asking her husband, “What have you done?”
David explained that the head of the clippers fell off and landed on his hair, causing a style error.
“You were trying to give yourself a haircut,” she laughed. “What have you done?”
David was less than pleased. “It’s not funny,” he said.
She added, “Let me see, let me see. I mean, the hours of content that the kids have got from this… It does not look good. I’m going to always be honest with you — it looks terrible.”
No, it was David’s best look, but he updated his fans with how he remedied the situation later on. Sharing a snapshot on his Instagram Story on July 20, he revealed a short buzzcut to his followers. “Update. It’s the best I could do with the situation,” he wrote on the image. “@victoriabeckham still awful???” (You can see the photo here.)
The playful nature of their relationship is adorable after 26 years of marriage. Even through the rough times, the dynamic duo has remained a united front. “Obviously, he’s incredibly good-looking, but David is the most wonderful husband and fantastic father and a real inspiration to all of us,” she said on The View, per People, in October 2019. “He’s hardworking … I’m lucky to have him as my soulmate.”
The duo met in 1997 and married in an epic 1999 wedding. They share four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. They’ve weathered their fair share of controversies, including his alleged affair, but David is happy they stuck by each other’s side.
“Of course, when you’re with someone for that amount of time, of course you have your ups and downs, everybody knows that, and at the end of the day, we were lucky because we had each other at those moments,” he said on the May 20, 2024, episode of the SmartLess podcast.
Their bond is sweet to see as one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples, even if it won’t fix David’s hairstyling mishap.
