BECKET, Mass. (NEWS10) -- No criminal charges are being brought in the death of an employee at Jacob's Pillow in Becket on Friday, according to the Berkshire District Attorney's Office. The incident has reportedly been ruled "accidental."
Early Friday afternoon, the victim -- identified as 40-year-old production manager Kat Sirico from Rochester -- and a summer intern were using a dolly to move staging platforms across the event and performance venue campus, authorities said. As the two began moving the dolly down a sloped area, they reportedly lost control and the dolly began to roll.
Sirico tried to regain control of the dolly but tripped and fell, according to the DA's Office. The dolly then ran over the victim and the platforms fell, landing on 40-year-old.
Bystanders reportedly attempted life-saving measures. Authorities responded to the scene just after 12:30 p.m. and launched an investigation.
Jacob's Pillow released the following statement on Friday:
It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic news of the passing of a beloved member of Jacob’s Pillow's staff: Kat Sirico.
Kat was an alumni of the Pillow and an essential part of our team, and their spirit, generosity, and dedication touched the lives of many. We are holding their family, friends, and colleagues in our hearts as we grieve together.

The facility also said that all performances and events scheduled through Sunday have been cancelled and the campus will be closed. Festival performances will reportedly resume next week.
The official cause of death will be announced in the future by the medical examiner, the DA's Office said.
