Tudor Continues Its Black Bay Bonanza With This Must-Have Chrono
Designed to bridge the gap between racing and diving watches, the Tudor Black Bay Chrono watch has arrived where the asphalt meets the sea. An obviously beautiful idea, where lapping waves and tire-marked concrete glow together, the watch manages to symbolize multiple ideas the brand has been creating for over 50 years.
Tudor launched its first chronograph, the Oysterdate model, in 1970, and have continued to keep close ties to motorsports since—currently they support the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team. They’ve also kept a close tie to the divers world since launching there first professional divers’ watches in 1954.

The Tudor Black Bay Chrono looks to combine both of these worlds via one sports chronograph. It features two sub-counters for race enthusiasts as well as the "Snowflake" hands that made the brand a favorite amongst divers. It comes in two opposite color options, matt black or opaline, where the sub-counters come in the contrasting color. The watch features a 41mm stainless steel case, making it legible at depths up to 200 meters (or 660 feet) without being overly flashy on the track.
The model comes on a 5-link stainless steel bracelet or a 3-link stainless steel "rivet style" bracelet. Both bracelets feature the brand’s "T-fit" rapid adjustment clasp, which offers five positions and allows instant adjustment of the total length of the bracelet.

At its heart, the watch is powered by the Manufacture Chronograph Calibre MT5813. The self-winding mechanical chronograph movement offers a 70-hour power reserve, and it displays hour, minute, second, chronograph and date functions.
