As President Donald Trump pressures Republican states to reopen the process of redistricting mid cycle, Vice President JD Vance is set to meet with GOP leaders in Indiana. The White House's goal is to give Republicans an easier path to maintaining control of the House in 2026 midterms. Republican Gov. Mike Braun has said no commitments have been made ahead of Thursday's visit from Vance. Braun said though that he expects many Republican states to take up redistricting. Indiana opponents of any redistricting moves plan protests and a news conference by the two Democratic members of the state’s congressional delegation.
