Speaking at the annual session of the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA) on Thursday, road transport and highway minister Nitin Gadkari said despite a slowdown in the sector in the last one year due to the cancellation of the Bharatmala project, his ministry has already awarded projects worth Rs 2 lakh crore and the target is to award projects worth Rs 5 lakh crore more by the end of the current financial year.
