A 25-year-old PhD scholar at IISER Kalyani, West Bengal, died in hospital after allegedly attempting suicide on campus. Hours earlier, Anamitra Roy had posted a note on social media detailing years of personal struggles, including depression, autism, and alleged harassment by a fellow researcher. He claimed repeated complaints to his supervisor and the anti-ragging cell were ignored.
