NEW Zealand resume day three of the second Test against Zimbabwe on a dominant position after a masterclass batting show on Friday.
The Blackcaps are on 601/3, leading by 476 runs courtesy of three centurions, all of whom, individually, out scored Zimbabwe’s paltry 125 runs.
New Zealand scored 427 runs for the loss of two wickets on day two. Interestingly, they moved from 500 to 600 in just 12 overs.
The BlackCaps had three players score 150 plus runs, only the third time that a Test innings featured three 150plus scores.
The first time was England against Australia in 1938 and India against Sri Lanka in 1986.
Devon Conway fell for 153 runs off 245 balls while Henry Nicholls and Rachin Ravindra are unbeaten on 150 and 165 runs respectively.
It remains to be seen for how long New Zealand will bat until the declaration comes.
