For Tottenham Hotspur, this week is all about the UEFA Super Cup as they prepare to take on Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, 13 August in Udine, Italy.
Thomas Frank will be aiming to secure victory in his first competitive match as Tottenham boss, with Spurs targeting their second European title in just three months.
Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, are looking to bounce back from their FIFA Club World Cup defeat to Chelsea, after the Blues denied the Parisians another piece of silverware with a convincing 3-0 win, following PSG’s UEFA Champions League triumph earlier this summer.

With the highly anticipated clash now just days away, Tottenham have confirmed their 22-man squad for the UEFA Super Cup final as they prepare to lock horns with the French champions.

Key talking points from Tottenham’s UEFA Super Cup squad
It is interesting to see Dominic Solanke included in Tottenham’s squad despite currently nursing an injury. His selection suggests there remains a possibility that the centre-forward could feature against the Parisians.
Richarlison and Mathys Tel could also lead the line should Solanke be unavailable to start, while there are notable omissions with Dane Scarlett and Luka Vuskovic both left out of the travelling party.
It is understood that Scarlett is currently working out a loan move this summer, while Vuskovic is also expected to be loaned out by Tottenham this summer.
Destiny Udogie, who missed out on the Spurs’ pre-season tour of Asia, has also been included in the Super Cup final squad, which suggests that he could be in line to feature.
