Bands announced for Fid Pick 2025, two spots remain
TOPEKA (KSNT) – Six contestants for the 2025 Fid Pick band competition have been announced, but two spots still remain.
The Kansas State Fiddling and Picking Championship will feature eight bands instead of six for the first time in 2025. Two spots still remain for any local folk or bluegrass bands.
The current lineup features: Jenny Lou & the Buckaroos from Clearwater, Bluebelles of the Trail from Burlingame, Boxcar Brethren from Kansas City, Rudy & the Lost Boys from Atchison, Betsy O and the Hollaback Boys from Lawrence and Tequa from Williamsburg.
If interested in entering, be sure to check out the contest rules and fill out the registration form. Registration will be open until the day of the festival, and the winner will get $500 and a chance to play the Champions Concert at the Wallnut Valley Festival in Winfield on Sept. 17.
The Kansas State Fiddling & Picking Championship will be on Aug. 24 at South Park in Lawrence.
