Leeds United fans receive update on hopes of signing Manor Solomon from Tottenham
A Leeds United insider has revealed whether a return to Elland Road is on the cards for Tottenham winger Manor Solomon this summer.
At the start of the summer transfer window, it was reported that Thomas Frank wanted to take a closer look at Solomon during pre-season, but the Dane has not had an opportunity to do that due to the 25-year-old’s injury.
While reports indicate that Solomon is likely to be sold by Spurs, the Tottenham head coach has not given away too much about the winger’s future.
When asked about the former Fulham man last week, Thomas Frank said that Solomon could be involved once he is back from injury, refusing to discuss the speculation over his future.
Is a return to Leeds on the cards for Tottenham’s Manor Solomon?
It was reported by The Standard a couple of days ago that Solomon’s chance of returning to Leeds has diminished as Daniel Farke’s men prioritised signing Milan’s Noah Okafor.
Now, Leeds United insider Beren Cross has revealed on The Athletic that no concrete discussions have been held about bringing Solomon back to Elland Road despite his stellar showing for the club in the Championship last term.
The journalist does not rule out the possibility of the Tottenham man returning to the Yorkshire side, but he says that the deal would only be possible under very specific circumstances, including the exit of one of Leeds’ five attackers.
Solomon is attracting plenty of transfer interest
It was revealed by Fabrizio Romano last week that a number of Spanish and English clubs are showing interest in Solomon.
The identity of at least one of those clubs is known, with some sources revealing that Burnley have explored a move for Solomon.
Even if Leeds do not come back in for the Israeli international, Tottenham should thus not have much difficulty in offloading him before the end of the month.
