Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson has been hobbled lately by a bum hamstring. Think of it as a flat tire on a Maserati. Also think of it as — maybe — the reason the Bears can win Sunday in Baltimore. Did we mention “maybe”?

In this week’s “Polling Place,” your home for Sun-Times sports polls on the social platform X, we began with the game in which the visitors — yes, the visitors — will be gunning for their fifth win in a row. Even typing those words feels strange.

“Lamar is a one-man wrecking crew,” @JBIRD1268 commented.

Meanwhile, @RonaldVoigt4 predicted a big day for Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith, the former Bear. But more votes went to the Bears in this one. Jackson missed the Ravens’ last two games, which only begins to explain their surprising 1-5 record.

Next, college football: Will Illinois, Northwestern or Notre Dame end up the happiest with its season? Each went into the weekend at 5-2.

Last, we asked for your World Series winner. Dodgers or Blue Jays?

“Blue Jays [because of] home-field advantage,” @ronw_sportsnut predicted.
