Good morning from New York City, where as of Tuesday night, Zohran Mamdani is officially the mayor-elect. It was a celebratory evening across the city as voters learned the news, which marks one of the most significant leftist wins in years. Less thrilled with the outcome? All the conservatives and Andrew Cuomo diehards who spent the past few months weaponizing Islamophobia and threatening to leave the city if their taxes go up.
While we wait to see if a bunch of rent-stabilized apartments hit the market, let us peruse the scene on X, where many conservatives are straight up imploding. A lot of them are really mad at Curtis Sliwa for staying in the race:

Mamdani was not the only big Democratic win on Tuesday night — the governor’s races in New Jersey and Virginia both went blue, and Virginia’s Democratic attorney-general candidate, Jay Jones, won his election, prompting even more next-level crash-outs.
