It is clear that he could be the main attacking threat against the Cherries, but it remains to be seen whether he will be available. FIFA have announced that players participating at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) must report with their respective nations from December 15.
United are due to play Bournemouth on the same day and are discussing with the Cameroonian football federation to find a resolution. Hopefully, the Red Devils can convince the Cameroon hierarchy to delay Mbeumo’s departure by 24 hours so that he can feature on Monday.
