Congress has announced significant wins in Maharashtra's local body elections. The party claims 41 municipal council presidents and 1,006 councillors have been elected on its symbol. Results for all local bodies are still being declared. The Chief Minister stated the BJP achieved a record with 48 percent of councillors winning on its symbol and 129 presidents elected.
