‘Dude was scrolling TikToks or whatever’: Chinese national who illegally entered U.S. and was released by Biden suspected of causing fatal pileup
Among the costs America still is paying for the misguided open borders practices of the Joe Biden administration is the death toll from traffic accidents caused by unqualified drivers.
That’s an issue that has appeared over and over, repeatedly leaving the families of those traffic mishap victims mourning their loved ones, and suspects behind bars.
It’s gotten so bad Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has threatened to withhold tens of millions in federal taxpayer highway funds from New York and other blue states that issue commercial driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants.
The latest such tragedy, according to Fox News, happened in Tennessee.
“The man suspected of causing a massive fatal pileup in Tennessee was a Chinese national who illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico before being released by the Biden administration and given work authorization papers, according to federal officials. 54-year-old Yisong Huang reportedly could not speak English when he came to the U.S. in 2023, and obtained a commercial driver’s license in the ‘sanctuary state’ of New York in April 2025.

A report at Not the Bee explained, “An illegal alien named Yisong Huang who illegally entered the country, crossing the southern border under Biden, was caught and released by Biden, given work authorization by Biden, and then given a commercial driver’s license by Hochul and the state of New York ended up killing people in Tennessee.”
Authorities report Huang was driving an empty bus on a major highway when he became “distracted” by a video he was watching on his smart phone.
“Dude was scrolling TikToks or whatever on the highway while behind the wheel of a giant bus and slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler,” the report said. “Thank goodness the bus was empty, or it could have been much worse.”
His actions triggered a “chain reaction crash” that left one American, Kerry Smith, dead, and two more injured.
Putnam County authorities arrested him and he’s been charged with vehicular manslaughter.
Previous tragedies have involved unqualified drivers with licenses from California and New York.
Duffy said, “They’re just giving eight-year commercial driver’s licenses to people who are coming through their DMV [Department of Motor Vehicles] and sending them out on American roadways, and again, they’re endangering the lives of American families.”
“When more than half of the licenses reviewed were issued illegally, it isn’t just a mistake — it is a dereliction of duty by state leadership,” Duffy said. “[Democratic New York] Gov. [Kathy] Hochul must immediately revoke these illegally issued licenses. If they refuse to follow the law, we will withhold federal highway funding.”
California had issued a CDL to Jashanpreet Singh, an illegal immigrant truck driver accused of killing three people in a multi-vehicle crash.
