A government probe is investigating the Odisha forest department's purchase of 137 all-terrain vehicles for Rs 30 crore. Concerns have been raised that the vehicles, including modifications costing Rs 2-3 lakh each, may have been bought at inflated prices. The ATVs are used for patrolling, fire control, and tourist safaris in wildlife reserves.
