Officials at Colorado's Telluride Ski Resort say it will close Saturday due to a labor dispute. The Telluride Professional Ski Patrol Association voted this week to strike after contract negotiations since June failed to yield an agreement on pay. No more talks are planned before the weekend. So Telluride says it will not open that day. It is not clear yet whether the closure will last longer. Resort officials say they are working on a plan to reopen even if the strike continues. Telluride ski patrollers say they want pay that is closer to that of other resorts in the region.
