Dubai Capitals seal playoff spot after dominant league-stage campaign
Dubai Capitals have qualified for the playoffs of DP World ILT20 Season 4 after a steady performance in the league stage. The defending champions finished among the top four teams, winning five of their nine matches so far in the tournament.
Their journey this season included solid efforts from both batters and bowlers at important moments. The Capitals started with defeats against the Desert Vipers and the Gulf Giants but quickly turned things around with back-to-back victories over Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, which helped them move up the points table.
Although they later lost to the Vipers and MI Emirates, the team bounced back strongly. Wins against Sharjah Warriorz and Gulf Giants put them back on track. In their second-last league match, half-centuries from Shayan Jahangir and Jordan Cox helped the Capitals successfully chase a challenging target and defeat the Warriorz once again.
With a playoff spot now secured, Dubai Capitals will take on MI Emirates in their final league match. The team will aim to stay in good form as they prepare for the knockout stage and defend their title in DP World ILT20 Season 4.
