Garhwa sub-divisional officer Sanjay Kumar has initiated a crackdown on illegal sand mining and transportation following public complaints. Notices have been issued to over two dozen individuals involved in the racket operating along the Koel and Banki rivers. The SDO emphasized strict action against those disrupting public peace and warned of disciplinary measures for any government staff found complicit.
